Measuring Guide

How to Measure Your Window

Correct measurements are everything. Our blinds are custom-made — a few minutes of careful measuring will ensure a perfect fit.

Before You Begin

Metal Tape Measure

Always use a rigid metal tape. Fabric tapes stretch and give inaccurate results.

Pen & Paper

Write down each measurement as you go. Don’t rely on memory.

Step Stool

Use safely to reach the top of the recess and measure accurately.

Step 1
Take three measurements across the width of the top, middle and bottom of the recess. The smallest measurement will be your blind width.

However, if it's a Roller or Twist&Fit blind, then use the top measurement instead.
Step 2
Take three measurements from the top down, along the left, middle and right of the recess. The smallest measurement will be your blind drop.
Pro Tips
If your recess depth is 60mm or less or the window opens inwards, you'll be best off with an exact fitting.

If you have tiling or picture rails around the bottom of your recess, which is 20mm or less difference to the width across the top, we advise using the top measurement.
Step 1
Measure the exact width of the area you want the blind to cover.
Step 2
Measure the drop from the top of where the blind will be fixed to where you want it to finish.
Pro Tips
Always add extra width if you want better light blocking coverage.

Still Not Sure?
